The Changing Futures Programme will bring together a multi-disciplinary team, yet to be established, which will provide intensive support to vulnerable people with complex needs across Leicester City.
Join us as a Team Manager, and you’ll be working with a team of professionals across a range of multi-disciplinaries to successfully oversee the delivery of projects and activities within the Changing Futures Programme.
This is a full-time fixed term position for up to 2 years working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. There may be occasions where you’ll be required to work outside of normal office hours. Working arrangements will be flexible comprising of both office and remote working.
We will consider this post on a secondment basis for Leicester City Council employees only. If you wish to apply for this post on this basis, please ensure you have your line manager’s approval before applying.
What you'll be doing
As a confident Team Manager, you’ll lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team giving clear direction, providing effective people and performance management by setting objectives, agreeing outcomes, monitoring, and measuring outputs and holding individuals and team(s) to account. You will provide high quality supervision, case advice and support and assuming the role of lead practitioner where required i.e. in particularly complex or difficult cases. You will manage and develop a high-quality service of long-term intensive and consistent support for individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages. Using a range of interviewing techniques, you’ll elicit sensitive information from others.
What you’ll need
With significant experience of managing and developing staff, you’ll have experience of working with a range of vulnerable adults with complex needs. Furthermore, you’ll be confident in working with a wide range of people at various levels to ensure that resources are available as and when required. As a strong leader, you’ll have experience of implementing performance management frameworks to change and introduce new concepts to service delivery. Using excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to form and maintain constructive working relationships, manage performance, and motivate others to achieve outcomes. You’ll have strong IT and presentation skills to be able to produce, write and summarise management/statistical/technical reports.
