We are currently looking for an Executive Support Team Leader to join our Corporate Resources division as part of our Directorate team.
Effectively leading a team of 11 you’ll be responsible for providing and co-ordinating administrative support to facilitate the work of Directors and Executive Members, across the full range of their responsibilities, in accordance with systems, statutory procedures, legislation, corporate standards and policies.
You’ll also be involved in supporting key Civic Events such as the annual Remembrance Service, Annual Council and Armed Forces Day.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday Flexible working.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work with directors in respect to; flexibly and creatively lead the departmental Executive Assistant Team.
You’ll respectively Improve and standardise services and ensure staff requirements are met throughout the Corporate Executive Assistant Team.
Providing a wide-range administrative support and working as part of a flexible team, you’ll also provide cover as necessary during periods of absence.
You’ll also review and creatively develop administrative processes and systems in line with statutory procedures, legislation, corporate standards, and policies.
Furthermore, you’ll co-ordinate, organise and prioritise meetings and commitments and administrate complex management meetings on a regular and ad-hoc basis, ensuring suitable availability of membership, preparation of venue arrangements, update and circulation of papers, production.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate for this post will be an effective leader, must have previous experience of supervision/management of staff and application of performance management principles.
Experience of supporting managers or executives e.g. working in the capacity of PA/Secretary for a senior manager or working within an executive office.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation, processes, standards and best practice that affect service/s supported Experience of compiling reports and management information, IT literacy is also essential for this role.
