Full Time / 37 Hours / 21 Month Fixed Term
We are looking for an organised Apprentice Transport Coordinator who can work under pressure with a positive outlook to arrange and co-ordinate transport services, whilst being resilient to deal with complaints in a fast-moving environment.
You'll be responsible for the daily running, monitoring and changes of the service. With your great professional telephone manner, you will liaise with internal, external suppliers, schools, day centres and service users.
Your working pattern for this post is on a rota 07:00am to 15:00pm 08:00am to 16:00pm 09:30am - 17:30pm with a 30minute lunch
What you’ll be doing
With good customer service skills, you will take bookings, handle service users & driver’s complaints & queries in a tactful manner. With proficient IT skills you will have expertise in excel to compile & maintain statistics in order to recharge vehicle costs, reclaim concessionary fares, bank figures and information on passenger numbers. On occasion you will be required to investigate complaints & NOC writing up responses and reports. When registering new clients, you will ensure they meet the pre-set agreed criteria, send out information & standard letters to prospective clients & various groups and maintain client records. In some instances, you will be required to collect fares from drivers, log & bank. collect travel tokens & forward to City & County.
What you’ll need
You'll be able to work both independently and as part of a team, to ensure that transport services are carried out to the correct times and standards and customer focused, to tactfully liaise with internal and external clients, to ensure smooth running of the service, whilst having excellent IT skills to update databases and the willingness to gain an NVQ Qualification in business and administration.
