With an ambitious long term Economic Growth Strategy, the LLEP assists partners to drive sustainable economic regeneration at pace.
In this influential and vital role, you’ll lead and manage the activities of the LLEP. What’s more, you’ll lead a skilled team to help shape and reform our activities. Collaborating with a wide range of local partners to act as an informed and independent voice for their area. Enabling effective partnership working at all levels between the business community, investors, government at local, national, and regional level, further & higher education, and the voluntary sector to deliver real and positive economic change.
Accountable to the Board of Directors and reporting directly to the co-chairs, you’ll deliver to the Board’s strategic priorities. Supporting the Board in setting appropriate and relevant strategic direction and provide appropriate assurance to the Board on good governance, disciplined delivery, and value for money services.
With a track record of achievement at senior level, and the range of skills required to work successfully in partnership as well as sound political awareness and judgement. You’ll share our passion to make a real difference to our rapidly changing and diverse economy.

The LLEP team is hosted by Leicester City Council, which acts as the accountable body. Ideally 37 hours per week we will also consider a part-time role for an experienced candidate. While this is initially an 18-month fixed term contract you’ll have the ability to shape the LLEP as it develops in this time period and into the future.
