Then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our IT service as a Senior Procurement Officer.
We are large authority which has become much more dynamic with quick decision making. Procurement gets involved in a range of projects that deliver key services to the public and invigorate the City. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and visionary, respectfully assertive and engaging.
This is an exciting role which has a strong mandate to transform the way the council procures a broad range of digital solutions & services. This role will be fundamental in enabling the council to deliver quality infrastructure, platform and application services and improve positive engagement with businesses and the communities we serve.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers to ensure procurement processes and existing contracts are managed well and continue to deliver value for money. Using procurement management information, you’ll identify need for new contracts and opportunities for alternative approaches.
What You’ll Need
With significant experience and knowledge of procurement, you will manage tendering and contract management processes, including complex, high risk and value projects.
You’ll have the ability to negotiate with clients to determine the requirements whilst considering the procurement strategy and individual client packaging. You’ll be a team player, working towards common objectives, whilst having a positive attitude to meet challenging deadlines.
