This is a rewarding opportunity to join our friendly and welcoming team as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer. Working in a busy yet challenging environment, you’ll manage the contracts of public health commissioned services and ensure that services we commission are of good quality, safe and high performing. This is a full-time, fixed term post for 18 months working 37 hours per week. You’ll be prepared to work out of hours on occasions to attend meetings or conduct visits. Based at City Hall, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home. You’ll be required to travel across the city, to meet with services, and consult with service users/other stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll undertake the monitoring, evaluation, and review of contractual arrangements. You’ll ensure effective use of compliance systems and quality assurance frameworks to achieve continuous improvement of all services and safeguarding of individuals. Liaising with key stakeholders including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), other local authorities, local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Police, other Council departments, service users and their carers, you’ll work in partnership to ensure services meet identified needs and commissioning objectives. You’ll undertake the collection and analysis of performance management information to ensure key performance indicators are met.
What you'll need
You’ll have experience of working within commissioning, contracting or a provider function to deliver a social welfare, health, or related provision. You’ll have strong skills of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of service providers within a contractual relationship. Using excellent analytical skills, you’ll extract and interpret information and data to produce provider performance management information. You’ll utilise excellent report writing skills to translate data into meaningful, accurate assessments of service performance. With a high level of communication skills you’ll engage with service users, providers, other stakeholders as well as colleagues to develop and maintain good working relationships. Using good organisational skills and having the ability to work under pressure you’ll plan effectively to ensure performance and quality assurance targets are met.
