Why work for Leicester City Council?
As Litigation Lawyer working for Leicester City Council, I work from home most of the time, but I do attend court hearings in Leicester when required. With flexible working, I have an excellent work/life balance which is enhanced by the fact that I can take a flexi day every 4 weeks - this is in addition to my holiday entitlement. I also have the option to purchase additional annual leave which is always helpful for those special occasions. The local government pension scheme is extremely generous and one of the best I’ve come across. I have access to a ‘staff offers’ scheme and I get a 5% discount on my weekly shopping, a £50 saving per month.
I work in a super friendly team with colleagues and managers who are very supportive. I have a manageable and diverse caseload which can be challenging but rewarding. But the best part is that my professional development has been nurtured so that I am able to thrive in my role.
If you are a Litigation Lawyer looking for your next role and this sounds like your kind of place, then please get in touch. I look forward to working with you.
