Leading a team of Social Worker and Care Management Officers, you’ll join a vibrant service area that manages the social care needs of people who draw on service. With the opportunity to develop, manage and support a number of staff. Working together to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services during these challenging times. With hybrid working you’ll work at Town Hall and City Hall, you can work when required but also have the ability to work from home. Core working hours are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am-4.30pm on a Friday. What you’ll be doing Participating in a service that works alongside people who make contact with us; ensuring that we explore solutions that provide purpose, meaning and connection in people’s lives; supporting staff to solve problems and developing a culture that values kindness and fairness more than process’s and transactions (as important as those may be). You’ll be working positively with partners who are key to helping people live good lives; our colleagues in Housing and Health for example. Leading a group of staff, supporting them to do their jobs with confidence. What you’ll need With substantial social work and health experience including management or guidance or ready to take that step. You’ll be able to develop staff effectively to get the best from your team. A good communicator. Being able to present clear and convincing arguments, both in person and in the form of written reports. Confronting challenges, balancing risk and making sound decisions. You also need the ability to understand key performance and financial information.
