Do you have a keen interest in developing the local response to domestic abuse and sexual violence?
The Domestic and Sexual Violence team within the Community Safety Service work closely with other agencies to have a collaborative approach to reducing and tackling domestic and sexual abuse. Working in a busy environment, you’ll ensure the service runs smoothly by responding to enquiries and monitoring progress. The work is varied, challenging yet rewarding. You’ll be provided with relevant training and have support from colleagues.
This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. You’ll have the flexibility to work from home, York House, and other locations which promotes a healthy work/life balance.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide key support which will include minute taking, maintaining records, and supporting cost centre managers with finance related admin. You’ll maintain and develop accurate electronic filing systems to ensure all records are up-to-date and remain confidential. You’ll process payments of orders/invoices as well as compile and analyse statistical data in relation to financial information, website usage, key performance indicators etc. You’ll organise and support meetings by taking minutes and preparing papers. Using your expertise, you’ll direct and oversee the work of other officers within the team.
What you’ll need
You’ll have substantial experience of carrying out complex administration tasks, supporting meetings as well as have a good understanding of the importance of customer care. Using excellent verbal and written communication skills, you’ll receive and resolve a variety of enquiries. With strong organisational skills, you’ll be able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment; ensuring enquiries are answered in an efficient manner. You’ll have advanced IT skills to carry out general administrative tasks, maintain records and spreadsheets and produce simple reports to aid service delivery. Self-motivated with the ability to work with speed and accuracy, you’ll have high attention to detail, to deliver a high-quality frontline service.
