We operate museum sites, such as Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and the King Richard III Visitor Centre, and the role will involve visiting the sites in the course of duties as well as other locations where activities are taking place across the city.
This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the management of the service’s budget, liaising with colleagues in Finance, to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Overseeing the collection of data, you’ll analyse performance data, produce reports, and use the findings to help shape future service delivery. You’ll be responsible for the management of allocated capital projects and externally funded revenue projects, including the Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation funding. Monitoring compliance with funding contracts, you’ll ensure the timely delivery of project outputs and outcomes. You’ll play a vital role in the development of new projects and funding applications. Working in partnership with the Leicester Museums & Galleries Development Trust and colleagues, you’ll develop new initiatives and secure funding.
What you’ll need
You’ll have experience of carrying out financial monitoring and management, performance information collation and monitoring, including data processing. With the ability to develop new initiatives to secure external funding, you’ll have experience of using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and corporate finance systems. Logical and practical, you’ll be able to problem solve and develop alternative solutions to meet targets. With good attention to detail and accuracy as well as good analytical skills, you’ll be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer care skills to be able to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
