A fantastic opportunity to lead a programme of strategic procurement workstreams.
Join our well-respected procurement team, to manage the replacement of contracts for household waste services within the city, and the strategic procurement of high value and high-risk goods, works and services. Critical to the timely re-procurement of this service, you’ll use various procurement processes, conduct a high level of negotiation, and design strategic approaches to deliver the range of goods, works and services required for the waste category.
You’ll support the wider service, project managers, and consult with industry experts, and suppliers to ensure the integrity of the programme is maintained and delivered effectively. With the opportunity to utilise your vast experience of public sector procurement particularly within the waste category, you’ll take into consideration the legal impact of approaches. As the key representative of the council at committee, public consultation, and client management meetings, you’ll relay highly complex information and command the confidence of both internal and external stakeholders. Creative and driven you’ll undertake market analysis to determine the best options.
